About me
Who's this gal?
I'm an audio software developer and musician from the Netherlands. I'm the founder and lead developer at ExpressiveLabs, a young startup developing singing voice synthesis technology and consumer products. At ExpressiveLabs, I lead the development of Mikoto Studio, a next-generation singing synthesizer combining new innovations with decades of community-driven development.
I also make music! Every now and then you'll see me put out vocal synth covers and maybe even some originals. I upload project files, MIDI transcriptions, and instrumental remakes on this website too. Check out Transcriptions for a searchable database.
I'm about to graduate with a BSc in Music Technology from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (University of the Arts, Utrecht), specializing in Creative Systems Design and Sound Art.

At ExpressiveLabs, I am the project director and lead developer for our flagship singing synthesizer Mikoto Studio. Besides overall design and leadership, I am responsible for talent acquisition, general workflow management, project strategy development, and business relations.
Mikoto Studio is designed to be a powerful, user-friendly, and versatile singing synthesizer created with the goal to make the technology and artistry accessible to anyone. We use Rust and Flutter as the core languages to develop the software, while Python is used for prototyping and research. Most of the GUI and core functionality was developed by me.

Donut is an open-source, 12-voice polyphonic digital synthesizer that I started developing as my third-year free project at HKU. While it never made it to the hardware stage, I learned a lot from developing it into a software prototype. I'm currently rewriting Donut in Rust in my free time, it might make it out into the world in a year or so...

Believe it or not, I started my coding journey making websites! I've been working with TailwindCSS and Vue since 2018, and I recently picked up Nuxt. I manage the websites for ExpressiveLabs, Mikoto Studio, and this personal website too - all built using NuxtJS.
